Chocolate peanut butter and banana ice cream (raw vegan)

There’s nothing better than a cold bowl of ice cream on a warm afternoon. But buzz kill, ice cream is usually pretty high in fat and calories. That’s why I came up with this vegan chocolate peanut butter and banana ice cream. The flavor comes from the banana and peanut butter, but the sweetness comes from dates instead of sugar.

It’s chocolately, yummy, cold, and actually good for you!


2 bananas
6 pitted dates
2 Tbsp raw peanut butter
2 Tbsp coconut milk
2 Tbsp raw cocoa powder
Dehydrated banana chips


1. Break bananas up into pieces and freeze for at least 3 hours.

2. In a blender combine dates, frozen bananas, coconut milk, cocoa powder, and peanut butter. Blend until smooth.

3. Pour into a bowl then let firm up in the freezer for 10 minutes. Top with crushed banana chips.
